This is the first of its kind to be conducted in the city and in the country to help street kids.  The football tournament will benefit the members of the Baguio Street Kids Football Club which Goshen Land and the BUFC organized. Volunteer coaches from the BUFC are now training the pioneer group of the Baguio Street Kids who will see action in the upcoming tournament.

All the games and goals during the tournament will be offered for sponsorships to the public. Sponsorships start from only P2.00 (two pesos) and up so that more people, including kids, will be given the privilege to help others in need.

Whatever will be raised from the sponsorships will form part of the seed money to help build these street kids’ shelter, start their educational and livelihood programs.

The goal of this tournament is a long shot, hopefully sustainable. Goshen Land has committed to donate a piece of land to build a home for the street kids who will be faithful with their training in football and submit to the rules and regulations of the program. Hard work is a strong component of the program since it is one major project of Goshen Land Caring Hands, the entrepreneurial responsibility (ESR) arm of Goshen Land, a homegrown real estate company in Baguio. The BUFC, on the other hand is at the forefront of its own initiative to develop local talents in football and their member players have been generous to the street kids. They were the first ones who gave football jerseys, socks and shoes for the use of these street kids during their training.
